| Back in 1953... |
The Corvette appears in the GM Motorama show just as Americans' desire for 3D movies and a real American made sports car grows. As the Korean War comes to an end, response by the public to the new Corvette at the Motorama show is so positive, that GM decides to put the car into production. Only 300 1953 models were hand built at the Flint, Michigan assembly plant.
