1967 Corvette Production and Performance
| Model Year Highlights |
Exterior:
- A black vinyl hardtop was available.
- Decorative trim including fender emblems and hood emblems were removed.
- Functional five-slot vertical fender vents were introduced behind the front wheels.
- Due to new safety regulations, the knock-off wheel design changed to a bolt-on, cast alloy design utilizing a special center cap that clipped on in order to concel the lug nuts underneath. Rally wheels remained a no-cost standard option for 1967.
- A backup light was added above the rear license plate.
- New available colors: Elkhart Blue, Goodwood Green, Lynndale Blue, Marina Blue, Marlboro Maroon.
Interior:
- The parking brake was relocated from under the dash to the center console between the seats.
- The passenger handle above the glove box was eliminated for the 1967 model year.
Mechanical:
- 1967 was the first year for the L88 engine.
- A 427ci engine equipped with triple two-barrel carburetors was a new option for the 1967 model year.
