We are a group of owners that has a non structured easy going system of drives and runs that are relaxing and fun. Several people look after the list of members and organise runs & emailing invites etc. We have in our group, enthusiasts from as far away as Kaikoura to South of Timaru to the west Coast. Christchurch Corvettes as it is today has evolved from a few local corvette owners who were also foundation members of the New Zealand Corvette register which started around 1980.Ten years ago we might have got 8 cars to a cruise, now we can get over 30. We now have over 100 email addresses with approx 150 members from Kaikoura to Timaru and the West Coast with approximately 100 Corvettes between them who enjoy the driving and socializing aspect of owning a Corvette. The Corvette Nationals has also been held in the Christchurch region on a few occasions with the most recent in 2007 in Nelson and with over 100 cars entering this event has become a major undertaking. Christchurch Corvettes are fortunate to have a number of people who generously give their time to a variety of events, whether it be day runs to local wineries, shows etc, or over night stays at some of New Zealand finest scenic locations.
