About

The Mid-Ohio Corvette Club formed in 2006 and is a member of the National Council of Corvette Clubs (East Ohio Region). Members are primarily from the Wayne County and Wooster, OH area, however we welcome new members and visitors from all neighboring counties and cities.

Since the Mid-Ohio Corvette Club’s (MOCC) inception in 2006, the Club has grown to a very active membership of 61 people. The Club has maintained membership in the National Council of Corvette Clubs and operates in the Northeast Ohio Region of Corvette Clubs. Many involved leaders have volunteered as Club officers, with the current President, Jim Morrison, in his seventh year in this position. Dan Gallagher represents our Club as a “Governor” in NCCC. Our previous Governor, Terry Muich, is a Charter Member of MOCC and has moved up to Regional Executive of the National Council of Corvette Clubs, Eastern Ohio Region.

Initially our Club sponsored “Boys’ Village,” a local organization caring for and educating troubled boys and girls. The Village Network, as it is now known, has become a much larger organization and has been blessed with tremendous support and resources. After sponsoring three events there we looked for a different organization where our contributions would make more of an impact.

We chose the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio (CCHO), also located in our host city of Wooster. CCHO is well known for the guidance, support and adoptions of children living under challenging family circumstances. In 2010 we organized a day long event including a free breakfast, cruise-in, and lunch, with afternoon events for the children and staff at the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio, 2685 Armstrong Rd, Wooster, OH.

Through the generosity of local businesses, residents and fellow Corvette-minded enthusiasts, we are proud to have raised $118,000 for the children residing at CCHO during the seven years since we created “Cruisin’ for the Kids!” We appreciate each and every one who has opened their heart and contributed towards this annual event for the Kids! We are planning this year’s event to be held on August 12, 2017.

MOCC organizes car shows benefitting our Club and CCHO. Our Club also provides all Northeast Ohio car enthusiasts with low-speed events. These fun-filled weekend activities fulfill the need for those members who like to “spit-shine” their cars and those who experience the “need for speed!”
