Mission History Originally, the SSCC primary focus was car shows. Car shows continued to be the main focus of the club until 1997. At that time, the club stopped holding its own show. We have many members who continue to participate in other Corvette club car shows throughout the New England area.
The South Shore Corvette Club (SSCC), located in Weymouth, Massachusetts is devoted to the pleasures of the Corvette. The style, ride, sounds, and the spectacle of driving one of the best sports cars built in the world today.
Philanthropy
In recent years, the club has added as part of its mission, charitable donations. We have targeted local charities, most notable the local food pantries located in the towns of our members. We provide cash gifts at the holidays.
We chose local causes because most are staffed by volunteers and 100% of our donation goes directly to the needy. We encourage everyone to support your local food pantry.
The South Shore Corvette Club was founded in 1962 by a few individuals who owned Corvettes and wanted to meet others who shared an interest in the cars.
