Early production Corvette Models may experience loosening of side door window regulator assemblies.  The external tooth lock washer used with the four attaching screw assemblies, has been known to shew away plastic around the mounting holes in the door inner panel when window is operated.

This condition was corrected effective December 27, 1962, in production, by using a plain washer under each lock washer.

In the event this problem is encountered, remove door trim panels and insert a 5/16" I.D. plain washer under each lock washer on screw assemblies.
