Condition: Some owners may comment that water drips into the rear compartment after the hatch glass has been opened.

Correction: Modify weatherstrip following instructions below.

PROCEDURE:

  1. Pull down weatherstrip to gain access to the end of the black close out weatherstrip (see Figure 1, top view). With a utility knife, cut the close out weatherstrip so there is a 2 MM (3/16 in.) overhang of the weatherstrip to its mounting surface (See Figure 1, top view)
  2. With weatherstrip pulled down, measure 18 MM (3/4 in.) from end of weatherstrip and remove shaded area from weatherstrip (see Figure 1, bottom view). Reinstall weatherstrip on hatch.
