A NEW BRAKE PAD MATERIAL HAS BEEN RELEASED FOR THE 1985 CORVETTE. THE NEW MATERIAL WILL BE SUPPLIED IN BRAKE PAD SERVICE KITS, P/N 14091367 FRONT AND P/N 14091368 REAR, FOR USE ON 1984 AND 1985 CORVETTES REPLACING 1984 SERVICE BRAKE PAD KITS, P/N 14067582 FRONT AND P/N 14067583 REAR. WHEN REPLACING BRAKE PADS, USE COMPLETE AXLE SETS, DO NOT MIX 1984 AND THE NEW 1985 BRAKE PADS FROM LEFT TO RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. MIXING 1984 AND THE NEW 1985 BRAKE PADS FRONT TO REAR IS AN ACCEPTABLE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE. VISUAL IDENTIFICATION 1984 - LINING WEAR INDICATORS ARE LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE OUTER PAD. 1985 - LINING WEAR INDICATORS ARE LOCATED ON THE TRAILING EDGE OF THE INNER PADS.
