Owners of early Corvettes with the 425 H.P. engine may experience hood flutter or, in extreme cases, hood rapping on the radiator support.

The rapping noise can be corrected and the flutter reduced considerably by cementing a 1-1/2 foot length of rubber seal, Part No. 3827365, to the top of the radiator support to insulate the points of hood contact.

An identical fix went into production on vehicles built after serial number S116736.
