TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

A new Spoke Flywheel is now being used on Powerglide Engines to reduce engine noise and vibration. The flywheel to Powerglide Converter attachment has been redesigned using three 3/8" bolts in place of six 5/16" bolts.

Changes entered the transmission and engine plants approximately 9-15-53 and will be assembled in cars 100% about 10-1-53.

SERVICE

When a new converter with three 3/8" attaching bolts is being assembled to an early type flywheel, alternate holes in the flywheel should be enlarged.

When a new flywheel is assembled to an old converter six 5/16" bolts should be used.

Service flywheels will have three 5/16" and three 3/8" holes in alternate locations.
