In order to provide a means of protection against damage to the catalytic converter while in transit, all 1975 Chevrolet Corvettes shipped via rail transportation will have a 10 inch shipping block installed between the right rear frame crossmember and the rear leaf spring assembly.

It will become necessary to remove the shipping block prior to delivery to the customer.  Removal of the block can best be accomplished by jacking the right rear corner of the vehicle in a manner that will allow the suspension to "hang", tilting the shipping block rearward and removing.  See Figure 1 for block location.

A dealer instruction tag will be placed on the inside rearview mirror on all rail shipped units as a notice to remove the shipping block.
