Model and Year:   1956 - 1957 Corvette

Bulletin No:   88
Zone:   #41 Wichita, Kansas
Date:    Aug., 1985

Due to design differences, the 3-speed close ratio, Corvette type, transmission does not contain a lubricant return groove in the front bearing bore like that used in the conventional transmission.  A special sealed bearing #900533 is used to prevent passage of oil into the clutch chamber.

In some instances the close ratio transmission case has been replaced because it was believed to be defective.

Yours very truly
