In instances when Corvette tachometers operate erratic, the cable limit stack may be off, necessitating re-working as listed.

  1. Loosen and remove tach cable from the drive unit at rear of generator.
  2. Remove the two tach drive unit attaching screws from the commutator end frame.
  3. Rotate the drive unit 180o, and reinstall the attaching screws.
  4. Reinstall the tach cable to the drive unit.
