To install or reseal the adhesive caulked back window of a 1964 Corvette Model 837 Sport Coupe, use the material furnished in Adhesive Caulking Kit #4226000 (2 kits req’d per installation); also procure through regular Chevrolet Parts channels, Painted Surface Primer #4226001 (pint can). When installing a Corvette back window using the materials specified above, the type and extent of surface preparation required, as well as the methods of applying adhesive caulking, will be the same as those recommended for the adhesive caulked back window on the Chevelle. (Refer to Section 1 of the Chevelle Shp Manual.)

The adhesive caulking materials recommended in this article are considerably more suitable for service use than those shown on page 1-7 and 1-8 of the Corvette Shop manual; therefore, the caulking materials referenced in the Shop Manual will not be made available for Service.
