Engine bucking and faltering may be experienced when making a light throttle acceleration, after idling, on 1965 Chevrolets and Corvettes equipped with 425 h.p., 396 cu. in. engines and Holley carburetors.
To correct this condition, the Holley metering body should be replaced with part numbers listed below. The power valve, main jets and needles can be transferred from the removed metering body to the replacement body.

The procedure for removing and replacing the metering body is outlined on page 6M-19 of the 1965 Chevrolet Interim Shop Manual, and on page 65-7 of the 1965 Corvette Shop Manual Supplement. The idle mixture screw seals and power valve gaskets should be replaced.
