The service procedure for replacing a radio speaker in a 1966 Corvette equipped with air conditioning is as follows:

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  2. Remove glove box compartment as an assembly.
  3. Remove clock.
  4. Disconnect both air conditioning control cables at doors.
  5. Remove air conditioning knobs.
  6. Remove center air conditioning duct.
  7. Remove deforster duct.
  8. Disconnect speaker wires.
  9. Remove 4 speaker screws and remove speaker.
  10. Remove transformer from old speaker and install on new speaker.
  11. Position the new speaker and reverse procedure to install.
