Folding top rear bow lock springs have been released as service parts for 1968 thru 1972 Corvette convertible models. Previously, the springs were replaced only as part of the left or right side bow lock assembly.
In the event of a bow lock spring failure, install Spring - Part No. 3942773 (left side) and/or Spring - Part No. 3942774 (right side) as follows:
- Thread the spring, hooked end first, onto lock spring pin.
- With catch in locked position, attach hooked end of spring into housing body (Fig. 5).
- Using needle nose pliers, force the straight end of spring into the holding notch of pin.
