2005 Corvette: GM TechLink: Setting the Clock Radio

Estimated Reading Time: 1 Minutes

Owners of some 2005 Corvettes may state that the clock reads in 24 hour time (military time) on vehicles equipped with the RPO US8 or US9 radios.

If the customer wishes to switch between military time and 12 hour time, follow this procedure.
1. Press and hold the hours button for 2-3 seconds.
2. Depress the radio tuner knob to toggle between 12 hour and 24 hour (military) format. Release the knob for 30 seconds for the change to occur.

TIP: The Navigation radio (RPO U3U) can be changed from military time to regular time by accessing the clock menu.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.

  1. Since changing car battery nav time cannot be set and sometimes gps with a slash shows. Is there any way to reset radio? Nav seems to work, xm works and fm and am work. Only the time screen is not functional for a 2007 C6 Z51.
