This PI has been revised to add the 2016-2018 Impala and 2016-2017 Regal models. Please discard PI1410.
- Condition/Concern

Some customers may comment that the red brake light on the instrument panel intermittently comes on.
This may be due to the vehicle automatically applying the electronic parking brake (EPB) when the vehicle is not moving.
- Recommendation/Instructions

This is normal and is done periodically (every 50 key cycles) to check the correct operation of the EPB system.
