General Motors part number 19355656 (Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP) available through GM Oil Distributors is the only approved transmission fluid for General Motors produced 8 Speed transmissions 8L90 RPO’s (M5U), (M5X) and 8L45 RPO’s (M5T), (M5N). The packaging of 19355656 does not show the General Motors part number.
General Motors Part Number 19353429 (Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP) available through GM Oil Distributors is to only be used in the following EV transmission applications. Chevrolet BOLT with the 1ET25 (MMF), Chevrolet VOLT with the 5ET50 (MKV), Chevrolet Spark EV with the 1ET35 (MME) and the Cadillac CT6 with the 4EL70 (MRD). The packaging shows General Motors part number 19353429 on each bottle and on the cardboard six pack box.
General Motors Part Number 19353429 (Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP) should not be used in the 8 Speed transmissions 8L90 RPO’s (M5U), (M5X) and 8L45 RPO’s (M5T), (M5N).

This service bulletin makes no sense. So there are two different Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP products with the same exact name but two different part numbers? And one of them doesn‘t include the part number on the product or packaging??? And one can be used in certain transmissions but not others? I think this bulletin needs clarification, because it doesn‘t sound plausible. Was there a labeling error on the product without part numbers? Why do two allegedly different fluids have identical names?
