Condition |
Some customers may notice that certain 2015 and newer Corvettes are missing the lap timer page in the DIC. Further investigation by the customer or the dealership may show that other comparison cars may or may not have this page in the DIC. |
- Cause:
- This is a normal operation
- Correction
-
If the vehicle IS equipped with RPO UQT, the Performance Data and Video Recorder, or P.D.R., then the lap timer page in the DIC will not be present. If the vehicle is NOT equipped with the PDR option, the vehicle will have a lap timer page included in the DIC. The reason for this is because cars that are equipped with the PDR already have a lap timer built into the system. This can be activated by accessing the PDR system through the navigation radio. The customer must set up or define the finish line, and once this is done, every time the car crosses this location, the system will automatically record the individual lap times. If the vehicle does not have the PDR, the additional DIC page is included so the customer can manually record lap times. To do this, first scroll through the DIC to access the Lap Timer, then press the RH arrow on the Steering Wheel Controls to start, stop, and reset the lap timer.
Make no repairs for this concern as this is normal operation of the system.
