Condition

Some customers may comment on one or more of the following conditions based on the RPOs:
- Radio is inoperative (IO3 or IO6)
- Screen is blue (IO3)
- AM clipping noise in talk stations (All RPO’s)
- Watchdog timer implementation against blank display, GMLAN lost communication DTC U0184 (IO3 or IO6)
- HD on/off status not retained when HD station is selected (All RPO’s)
- GPS compass is pointed to North only (IO6)
- No audio with internal amp due to amp IC erroneously staying in sleep state (UQ3)
- Time lag on transition between Rear View Camera and normal display (IO3)
- Park Assist symbol position is wrong in Rear View Camera (IO3)

Cause

This may be caused by a software calibration within the radio.

Equipped with radio RPOs IO3, IO5 or IO6

- Correction

If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, reprogram the radio with the latest calibrations. Refer to the proper SPS radio reprogramming procedure in SI.
Important: During the SPS procedure, when the estimated time remaining reaches 00:00:01, it may take a few minutes to complete the reprogramming. Be sure to wait until the reprogramming is completed.
Important: You may have U0184 set in multiple modules and no communication with the radio. Please cycle power to the radio and recheck for communication. Update radio software if radio now communicates.
