Condition |
Some customers may comment that the remote keyless function for the front hood button does not work. |
Cause |
The cause of the condition may be due to a design change to the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System button function for the hood. This change was implemented to reduce the chance of inadvertent activation of the hood. |
Inform the customer that in order to activate the hood with the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) System, they must now press the hood button once and then press and hold the hood button down the second time to activate the hood release.
Failure to hold the button down on the second button press will not open the hood.
Please communicate the function change with the customer.
No parts are required for this repair.
