CONDITION:
SOME CUSTOMERS MAY COMMENT THAT THE WHITE PAINT AROUND THE DOOR HANDLE IS TURNING YELLOW.
CAUSE:
THE GREASE THAT IS USED TO LUBRICATE THE TUMBLERS IN THE LOCK CYLINDER MAY MIGRATE OUT OF THE CYLINDER AND STAIN THE PAINT.
CORRECTION:
REPLACE THE LOCK CYLINDER AND DOOR HANDLE. NEW LOCK CYLINDER KITS HAVE BEEN RELEASED. THE NEW KITS HAVE A BLACK TUBE OF GREASE IN THEM WHICH SHOULD BE USED ON WHITE VEHICLES. THE OLD KITS HAVE EITHER A CLEAR TUBE OR WHITE TUBE OF GREASE THAT CAN BE USED ON ANY VEHICLE EXCEPT WHITE PAINTED VEHICLES.
