Condition:
The power antenna may not retract when the ignition is on and the radio is turned off. The antenna should retract when the ignition is turned off.
This condition may occur on radios with push buttons for volume control and tuning (called Advanced Electronically Tuned Radio, or AETR).
Cause:
The software in the radio may allow this condition to happen when the battery power to the radio has been removed and then restored, or when the vehicle has been jump started.
Correction:
Send the radio to your local Delco repair station, with a clear explanation of the condition.
