Two people were killed and one injured when the driver of a C8 Corvette Stingray plunged it into a neighborhood swimming pool in California
Chino, California – A male driver lost control of a C8 Corvette Stingray coupe early Wednesday morning ignoring the 15-MPH posted speed limit and plunging the car into a swimming pool of a residential home.
According to FOX 11, the male driver in his 20s and a 21-year old passenger were killed while the third passenger suffered injuries. Reports indicate that the driver was speeding and failed to make a turn causing the Corvette to go airborne crashing into a wall and landing in a swimming pool.
“It was a big old crash. I heard ‘bang,’ and I looked outside my window and I saw something in the pool. I wasn’t sure what it was,” a neighbor said.
Speaking with FOX 11 news, neighbors said that speeding has been a major issue in that area of Chino, and that this accident was an unfortunate example.
We all know that the C8 Corvette Stingray is a blast to drive and capable of incredible performance, but please slow down out there folks and use common sense.
