Production of the 2021 Corvette continues to be impacted by supplier issues

Chevrolet has confirmed with the Corvette Action Center that the Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant will be closed another week due to supplier issues.

We reported last week that the Assembly Plant would be closed this week due to supplier issues and just yesterday we learned that a lack of aluminum structural components and transmission housings for the 2021 Corvette were the cause.

In the Chevrolet communication yesterday, Chevrolet confirmed that the Bowling Green Assembly Plant would resume operations this coming Monday, February 8th.

As per Chevrolet a short time ago:

Due to a temporary parts supply issue, we can confirm that Bowling Green Assembly will not run production the week of February 8. Our supply chain, manufacturing and engineering teams are working closely with our supply base to mitigate any further impact on production, and we expect the plant to resume normal operations on Monday, February 15.

We will post any updates as they become available to us.
