Do Not Install the Borla Cat-Back Dual Mode Exhaust System on a 2022 Corvette

If you’re like most Corvette owners, one of the first things you think about upgrading is the stock exhaust system.

For those of you with a 2022 Corvette and thinking about the Borla Cat-Back Dual Mode exhaust system, you may want to hold off.

According to the vendor that GM uses to distribute Corvette LPOs, some kind of change was made on the 2022 Corvette that the 2020 and 2021 Corvettes do not have.  This change is not compatible with Borla’s Cat-Back exhaust system for the C8:

GM has identified a change on the 22MY C8 Corvette which interferes with the Borla Cat Back exhaust systems. These parts are still ok to use on 2020-21 MY C8 Corvette’s

AFFECTED PART NUMBERS:

ACTION REQUIRED:

  •  Do not sell these parts for use on 2022 MY Corvette.
  • Borla is expected to have new parts for 22MY Corvettes available in the next 1-2 weeks. These parts will carry a new part number, which will be communicated when they’re ready for release. Please contact the BORLA help desk if you have any questions.
