In a letter sent to select Chevrolet Dealers earlier this morning, GM confirmed that due to supply issues, ramp-up difficulties related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and high customer demand, it was necessary to remove the High Wing Spoiler option from existing 2020 Corvette orders.
Now, GM has released a list of orders to select Chevrolet dealers outlining the 2020 Corvette orders that will not receive these options as part of their build.
So, what if you ordered a 2020 Corvette with the high wing spoiler and you’re waiting for your car to be built? You have a few options:
- For customers that have been impacted by the deletion of this option from their order, GM will send you a private coupon code for 25% below MSRP on all Chevrolet accessories purchased online with a maximum value of up to $500 below MSRP. This coupon will be sent out to customers after you take delivery of your 2020 Corvette and is only valid on purchases online at Chevy’s Accessories website made between 7/1/2020 – 7/31/2021.
- Once these spoilers are available again, you’ll be able to order them directly from your Chevrolet dealer as a dealer direct purchase
- ACS Composite, an aftermarket carbon fiber parts company, recently released their replica of the High Wing Spoiler which appears to be very similar to the factory original
