Yesterday, dealers received notification from Chevrolet outlining the 2022 model year vehicle build and 2023 model year start of production including consensus and order submission dates.
According to the document, 2022 Corvette production will come to an end on May 6th, 2022, with the final consensus month / cycle being March / 1 and a final DOSP cycle of 3/17/2022.
The official start-up date for the 2023 Corvette will begin three days later on May 9th, 2022 with the initial consensus month / cycle being March / 2. Order entry availability is listed as TBD.
While the big question on everyone’s mind is when will Z06 production begin, that remains to be announced as well. In the document given to dealers yesterday, only the Corvette coupe and convertible are mentioned. It’s unclear if this also includes Z06 production.
Along with Chevrolet, GM’s other brands were outlined such as Buick and Cadillac. For Cadillac, the production dates are outlined for CT4 and CT5 production and in parentheses it states (including Blackwing for Retail). We would think the Z06 would be mentioned in the same way.
It should be noted that the published dates are subject to change and could be revised down the road given the current state of production constraints and supply chain issues.
