As per GM’s national constraints report on February 15, 2021 – Corvette production continues to feel the effects of supplier restrictions
Other than some bizarre winter weather hitting the middle of the U.S. and closing the Corvette Assembly Plant the last couple of days, 2021 Corvette production continues to chug along, but not without hiccups.
Below is a summary of 2021 Corvette production updates and constraints that we’ve put into chronological order:
Updates as of Week of 02-15-2021
Effective 2/15/2021, the following changes will be made to the Vehicle Order Guide:
- Exterior section-(VST) LPO, Illuminated sill plates with Stingray logo, added a footnote 1 to all equipment groups that reads “No longer available to order.”
- Exterior section-(5ZD) LPO, Carbon Flash wheel center caps with crossed flags logo, added a footnote 1 to all equipment groups that reads “Requires (5DF) 19″ front/20″ rear 5-trident-spoke Black-painted aluminum wheels, LPO.”
Updates as of Week of 02-11-2021
According to GM’s national constraint report released on February 11th, the following items continue to remain on constraint through at least April:

2020 Corvette Stingray Coupe in Zeus Bronze Metallic
Updates as of Week of 02-08-2021
Effective 2/8/2021, the following changes will be made to the Vehicle Order Guide:
- Exterior section-Added (PDV) LPO, Stingray R Appearance Package, includes (SB7) Corvette Racing Themed Graphics Package with Jake and Stingray R logos and (VWD) Stingray R logo wheel center caps, Genuine Corvette Accessory. It is “A/D” on all equipment groups.
- Exterior section-Added (5ZD) LPO, Carbon Flash wheel center caps with crossed flags logo, Genuine Corvette Accessory. It is “A/D” on all equipment groups.
Let’s hope Mother Nature gets her act together, herd immunity starts to kick in and Corvette production goes into overdrive for the remainder of this model year!
