[SPY PHOTOS] Meet the 2019 Mid-Engine Corvette in its Body!

Here it is folks!  These spy photos of the 2019 mid-engine Corvette in its own flesh, caught by Car and Driver, should put all the naysayers to rest!

The photos show a prototype mid-engine C8 Corvette in its actual body, and we can now see the actual lines of the car, even though it’s heavily camouflaged.

The front end looks shorter and more taught, while the long sloping rear hatch of the C7 Corvette appears to have been cut in half and more flat towards the rear bumper.  Overall, the entire car looks smaller from what we can see here.

Out back, we can see a smaller rear window and the Corvette’s signature four tail lamps, although the shape of the tail lights is well hidden.

According to Car and Driver, they’ve recently received confirmation that the small-block V8 engine mounted out back will be mated to a Tremec-sourced seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Head on over to Car and Driver for more juicy photos!
