The Last 2020 Corvette Built Heads to Mecum Kissimmee 2021

The Very Last 2020 Corvette Built With Just 6 Miles On The Clock Heads to Mecum

Just over a year ago, the very first 2020 Corvette built for regular production sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction for $3 million.

Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter and GM CEO Mary Barra drove the Torch Red pre-production coupe out on the carpet where the gavel dropped in favor of Nascar legend, Rick Hendrick as the winning bidder.

Now, the final 2020 Corvette built – No. 19,456 will cross the Mecum Auction block on the Saturday, January 16th in Kissimmee, Florida.

Ordered by Van Bortel Chevrolet in Macedon, New York as a sold order, the Sebring Orange Metallic non-Z51 convertible comes with a…dare I say…interesting array of color options.  While I think that Sebring Orange Metallic goes well with the luxurious Natural Dipped Leather interior, I’m not sure I would have also ordered Tension Blue seat belts and Elkhart Lake Blue Corvette scripting for the rear-end.  But I suppose, beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.

Additional options include the 3LT trim package, carbon flash metallic wheels and side mirrors, chrome exterior badge package, battery protection package, premium indoor car cover, composite rockers and custom splash guards.

While an expected sale price range isn’t posted on the Mecum listing, given the option list and the fact that it’s the last one built for the start of a new generation and a completely new Corvette platform, we would expect the gavel to drop on this around $125,000.  We’ll find out a week from this Saturday!
