Michigan State Police take man into custody after crashing a 2021 Corvette during a police pursuit early Thursday morning
Early this morning the Michigan State Police were notified of a 2021 Corvette that was stolen from a dealership in Novi just after 10am.
Thanks to OnStar, the police were able to be kept updated on the car’s location and eventually found it at an the intersection of Gratiot Avenue and Outer Drive which is where the high speed pursuit began.
After turning on to the I-75 Service Drive, the Corvette side-swiped a van and crashed into several parked cars. Upon crashing the vehicle, two suspects escaped the vehicle and ran on foot until being apprehended shortly after.
While it’s sad that the Corvette was stolen and destroyed while so many customers are still waiting to take delivery of their own, luckily nobody was injured during the pursuit or the crash.
