A short time ago, Chevrolet issued a press release and sneak peak of the 2023 Corvette Z06 set to be unveiled at 12:00 pm next Tuesday, October 26th.
In that press release, they state:
In 8,600 minutes, professional basketball superstar, gold medalist and avid car enthusiast, Devin Booker, and record-breaking performance builder and driver, Emelia Hartford, will join General Motors’ passionate engineers and designers to learn what it takes to create the all-new 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
Given that Chevrolet has confirmed that this latest iteration of the Z06 nameplate will come with a 5.5L flat-plane crank V8 engine, we are expecting it to have a higher rev limit that the standard Corvette’s LT1 engine.
The fact that they make mention of “8,600 minutes”, seems a little ironic, but we all know, that every now and then Chevy likes to toss a bone fragment out to the masses to keep them salivating.
If this was intentional – well done Chevy. We’re now drooling like Pavlov’s dogs!
Below is a video released by Chevrolet along with the rest of the press release. Check out the tachometer in the middle of the video and turn up the volume on your speakers!
“Putting the World on Notice,” an approximately 30-minute reveal film, will premiere on chevy.com/Z06 on Oct. 26, at 12 p.m. ET. Immediately following the film, Chevrolet will host a panel discussion featuring Corvette and third-party experts, who will share how the Corvette Z06 provides an unparalleled driver experience.
