In the summer of 2014, Corvette Hall of Fame Inductee, Bob McDorman, also owner of Bob McDorman Chevrolet, opened an automotive museum that featured a stunning collection of Corvettes Chevrolets and memorabilia.
On May 28th, 2015, we were saddened to hear that at the age of 82, Bob McDorman passed away.
According to the Bob McDorman Facebook page, the museum ceased operations on December 30th and all of the museum’s cars, which includes 22 Corvettes, and memorabilia will be sold at Mecum’s Indianapolis auction this coming May 16th-20th, 2017.
Bob McDorman was known for his enormous Chevrolet collection including several very low serial numbered Corvettes. He was also a Chevrolet franchise owner from 1965 till 2011 when he sold a majority ownership to Jeff Wyler Chevrolet.
Over the years, he auctioned off a part of his collection three times and now the remained of that collection will also be auctioned off in May.
