"Here is a piece of History for you collectors out there! This is the Number 4 pre-production ZR1! See Vin number ending in 0004. (See below, this was NOT a test car) This was the FIRST RED ZR1 car made when they came out in 2009 with this kind of horsepower. This was also the First one made of only 5-6 Cars pre and regular production, that have the Black and LINEN interior. Very, Very classy look. Not all black like so many out there.
This car was driven by GM Executives until it sold to a Private Car collector here in Georgia in late 2009. This collector is in Georgia and he has a significant collection including many GT500 Shelby's. Before GM sold it to him they made this car like new! Aside from the engine...BOB LUTZ, Past GM CEO, stated that these cars had new Tires and Brake Pads replaced prior to sale. Plus the Collector here in Georgia advised that the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects were replaced. We know they were because if you rub your hand along the bottom of these Ground effects they are SMOOTH as glass, no scuff marks whatsoever!
For those of you that know your cars, this pre production model was NOT, I repeat NOT a TEST car. Bob Lutz confirmed this in an email to me which we will incorporate into our Binder Book on this great car! Bob said there was no way they would retail TEST cars PERIOD. Collector paid top dollar for this car in 2009 and treated it with great care while he had it for 2 years.
So what you have here is truly fantastic. 4th ZR1 car with a rare color combo that they stopped offering shortly after they started getting into the regular production cars. Jim Hendrix a very well known Chevy car dealership owner has one of these Red cars with Ebony and Linen interiors, his model number is after ours, but apparently he saw the value in this car and has kept it for himself!
HERE IS THE DEAL....The mileage at that time the collector purchased the car was around 8,500. He put less than 1,000 miles on this car! Tires and brakes less than 1,000 miles on them. This car sat on a very nice lift inside of his very impressive garage where his other prize collections sat. See photos.
This car is pristine. We met the collector in person, he came to our home and gave us a fantastic binder book on this car which includes many photos, the ORIGINAL Sticker, lots of great history, etc. Even photos when he and his wife took delivery on this car. He said it appears to him that they replaced many items aside from the Tires and brakes in order to sell it for top dollar to him.
The wheels are perfect and GORGEOUS~! No dings, dents scratches, etc. The Blue Brake covers are stunning! They look awesome. Pictures only do it so much justice.
The car has every option including NAVIGATION SYSTEM, CD PLAYER. ETC.
The collector also put on a very cool option, Remote for Exhaust System whereby you can hit a button on the key fob and it makes the exhaust sound killer awesome and very throaty!
Also when we purchased the car we put the LO JACK system on it. So your investment is secure!!!
We are also including the very nice brand new ZR1 mat that goes in the back of the car and 2 brand new ZR1 floor mats. See Photos, PLUS a top of the line $400.00 dollar plush red full body car cover.
