The Torq ZR-800 Package includes the following upgrades: Ported LPE Snout, LPE Intake, LPE Upper, ATI Balancer, Kooks Custom Headers, Torq Custom Camshaft, Torq Valvetrain Upgrade, NW 102mm TB, Custom Dyno Tuned by Torq.
We have the OEM Intake, Cams, and possibly more items (still searching the garage). The exhaust upgrade comes with a remote-controlled baffle, so with the touch of a button you can silence the full roar (“silence” is a relative term… watch the videos to follow).
Torq Speed Lab in Miami FL is the region’s top tuner for modern American Muscle cars. They have a wealth of experience with the ZR1, having built up over a dozen of these machines to the specs you’re looking at today (ZR-800 tune). It’s the perfect blend: very well tested, but still exclusive and very scarce—just what an enthusiast is looking for. These modifications were carried out towards the end of last year (Nov 2012).
Notes from the tuner:
"In stock form, the car made 521 RWHP [rear-wheel horsepower, as opposed to the advertised “crank” horsepower] and 476 RW ft-lbs [rear-wheel torque], as measured on our Mustang Dyno. The result after Torq tuning was a very impressive 664 RWHP and 632 RW ft-lbs. We picked up 143 RWHP and 156 RW ft-lbs with essentially 16 psi and a cam. To safely achieve this, Torq also upgraded the heat exchanger."
