Tire Rim Matching and Inflation
Unmatched tires and rims can cause ride disturbance even when perfectly balanced.
1. The high spot of the tire should be aligned to the lowest position on the rim to minimize runout and radial force eccentricity. |
2. Lubricate tire and rim. Grasp tire shoulder with upper and lower rollers. |
3. Rotate wheel counterclockwise. Continue to increase roller pressure until tire stalls and rim index and tire index are aligned. |
4. Dial in and preset the desired inflation pressure. |
DANGER: If tire beads do not seat
below 40 psi, relubricate and retry. Tires requiring more than 40 psi MUST be placed in an inflation cage. |
|
5. Inflate tire and balance dynamically. |
